Once called Christensen's Flower Auction, it became a fully digital online platform in June 2019, marking the start of the digital future of FLOWERHUB.

FLOWERHUB is a wholesale flower market located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, offering wholesale flowers, plants, and floral accessories to trade businesses and the public.

The Story

The Christensen Family, a fourth-generation flower family with Danish roots, founded FLOWERHUB. The Christensen name has been in business in Australia since 1981 and has grown to be a premium floral brand. The family launched Christensen's Flower Auction, Australia's first flower auction, in 1995. It has changed over the past 24 years to become what FLOWERHUB is now.

The Challenge

After having a solid market presence in Brisbane, FLOWERHUB's founders wanted to digitize their business processes and increase their sales through an online presence. There is no access to supporting customers outside the workplace, and it is impossible to acquire new customers from different areas online. FLOWERHUB has been using a paper-based system and workbooks that require manual data entry, which is time-consuming and inefficient.

The challenge FLOWERHUB faced is like many other wholesale flower businesses:

  • More time needed for traditional and manual work
  • Receiving late invoices from suppliers that are happening every month
  • Having a separate system for purchases, ordering and logistics management
  • There is no access to supporting customers outside the workplace
  • Human errors in order packing as there were gaps in the order packing workflow
  • No way to acquire new customers from different areas online

The Solution

FLOWERHUB's digital platform that we call as "DDLive Platform" has been built by flower people for people who love flowers.

DDLIVE Platform is used by FLOWERHUB for E-commerce and business process automation services

The use of the DDLIVE Platform has enabled them to streamline their business processes and automate a number of repetitive tasks. This has helped them reduce their cost base while improving their productivity levels.  FLOWERHUB has been able to provide a variety of features and benefits for its e-commerce and business process automation services. Some benefits of using DDLive include:

  • Improved scalability: DDLive may provide the infrastructure and tools needed to support the growth of FLOWERHUB's e-commerce and business automation services.
  • Increased efficiency: DDLive's workflow automation and process management tools could help FLOWERHUB streamline their operations, reduce errors, and improve productivity.
  • Enhanced customer experience: DDLive's real-time communication and customer support tools could help FLOWERHUB provide high-quality customer service to their clients, resulting in a better overall customer experience.
  • Better data analysis and reporting: DDLive's data analysis and reporting tools could help FLOWERHUB gather insights on their e-commerce and business process automation services, which could be used to make informed decisions and optimize their operations.

“I needed a solution that would enable our customer support team to work from home whilst still fully supporting our customers, without them feeling any change to the Support Levels. This is exactly what we can provide because we have the DDLive.” - Milly Christensen, Owner at FLOWERHUB

Remote work has become increasingly important in recent years, and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trend. With DDLive, customer support teams can work from home while still having access to the tools and resources they need to provide high-quality support to customers. This can help businesses reduce costs, improve flexibility, and provide a better work-life balance for employees.

DDLive may offer features such as:

  • Real-time data: DDLive Platform provide real-time access to data to enable customer support teams to communicate with customers and each other efficiently.
  • Workflow automation: DDLive may automate customer support workflows, enabling teams to quickly and efficiently respond to customer requests and inquiries.
  • Remote desktop access: DDLive may allow customer support teams to remotely access their work desktop, applications, and data, enabling them to work as if they were in the office.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting: DDLive may offer tools to monitor and report on the performance of customer support teams, helping businesses to identify areas for improvement and optimize their operations.
